Chesapeake and Indiana EMD SD-M number 818 is still wearing its EJ&E paint as it switches a cut of fertilizer hoppers at the Co-Alliance facility in Union Mills, IN. It was recently announced that the 818 will be donated to the Hoosier Valley Railroad Museum, and the rest of the CKIN SD-M fleet is to be sold and or scrapped. Before putting the unit on the interchange for transport to HVRM, the evelator crew fired it up for one last revenue move, ending its 62 years of revenue service.
