Evoking an alternate reality, Durango and Silverton masquerades as her former self enroute into Silverton. As a Rio Grande locomotive, the 493 never made it to Silverton, nor was it an oil burner in that life. Today, we see her on the final crossing of the Animas River in this “What If?” form.
