Remarks & Notes
There is a lot of history under the black paint on this Pioneer locomotive. This unit was originally built in 1951 for the Atlantic Coast Line. The Seaboard Coast Line rebuilt this unit in the late 1970's into a GP16. In the 1990's, this locomotive worked on the Alabama & Florida shortline. After the Alabama & Florida was abandoned, this 60 year old unit was brought to Arkansas to serve out its final days.
