Amtrak 3 splits the intermediate semaphore signals just south of Las Vegas as it continues its journey west toward Glorieta Pass. In the foreground, a sea of wild sunflowers is in full bloom thanks to the heavy monsoon season to the delight of bumblebees like the one pictured in flight just to the right of the train.
