After spending a good part of the day out of Wheeler, switching industries on the southeast side of Mosses Lake, Columbia Basin Railroad’s Wheeler to Warden freight passes milepost 153 between Raugust and Sircen, Washington, on the afternoon of September 29, 2021. The train is operating on a former Northern Pacific line, and is passing over a fill that once also included a bridge over Milwaukee Road’s branch from Tiflis to Mosses Lake. Tiflis is a junction on another Milwaukee branch that once ran from Warden to Marcellus.
