On the very first publicly advertised trip after the large techincal revision, the red/cream "TRANS EUROP EXPRESS", the RAe TEE II # 1053 trainset of SBB Historic made a journey from Zürich via the Gotthard line to Luino in Italy. The elegant trainset, dating from 1961, is on the way back now and just crossing the bridge over the Giona river in Maccagno/Italy. Sadly, the RAe TEE II isn't allowed any more to run in Italy, France, Germany, Luxembourg, Belgium, Netherlands and Austria like in old days, but the line to Luino is an SBB line!
