| Nevada Northern #81 passes by the shop building during a Trains Magazine event. This track is the original main line which proceeded directly through downtown Ely before starting up Robinson Canyon. When the bypass around downtown was built, this track became a spur to the downtown depot. There are plans to rebuild a good bit of this spur to extend to the White Pine Museum (which features the old Cherry Creek Depot, formerly located on the main line to Cobre and moved here in 1990). |
