Forty-five minutes after arriving at the eastern end of BNSF Railway’s Barstow Yard, train Q-NSABAR6-20’s power cutoff and moved to the engine facility. Canadian Pacific SD70ACU 6644, which was leading this Guaranteed Service Intermodal train operating from Norfolk Southern’s Ashland Avenue Yard in Chicago, Illinois, to Barstow, wears the camouflage colors applied to Royal Canadian Air Force "Spitfire" fighter planes flown at the Allied invasion of Normandy, France, on June 6, 1944. The BNSF engines that were combined with CP 6644 for this trip were Dash 9-44CW 4150 and ES44C4s 6754 and 5543. (Barstow, California – November 23, 2021)
