Surprise!!! The 662 was wrapped yesterday and entered service 12/9/21, wearing an AEM-7 inspired Phase III livery sponsored by videogame developer and Amtrak licensee, Dovetail Games, makers of the popular Trainsim World 2 video game.

The locomotive's first run with the wrap was 12/9/21 on train 176 from Washington to Boston, where it runs over the same portion of the NEC featured in the simulator game. Dovetail will be releasing a free update to the Boston Sprinter route, part of the Rush Hour series, with the 662 in the 50th Anniversary livery.
