The Grotto. While there are still lots of other trains running there this season, on the night of Thursday, December 9, 2021, Railroad Museum of New England's Litchfield Hills BBQ & Whiskey Train operated for the last time this year. Former New Haven FL9 2019 leads south towards Thomaston through an area of Litchfield, Connecticut called "The Grotto" adjoining the Naugatuck River. The entire train is wrapped in festive lighting, providing much of the lighting needed for a photo.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
