The Beer Railroad: Digging through old photos, it seems that in my youth, I spent lots of time at the "Manny", which was owned by the Anheuser-Busch brewery in South St. Louis. MRS was a neat little industrial operation with a rich history. On another summer afternoon, a pair of the railroads immaculate MP15DC's prepare to shove up Dorcas St. to the brewery, it was uncommon for the brewery switch to have 2 units, but those 8 loads (most likely barley for the malt house) wouldn't make it up the steep grade with one unit. The brewery was switched several times a day, so unless these were "shut down" cars that had arrived late, they usually only went up with 3 or 4 cars.
