| Thundering upgrade along the South Santiam River, Santa Maria Valley 205 begins the climb into Sweet Home. Having enjoyed a mild "up and down" run since departing Lebanon earlier in the afternoon that the Sweet Home Branch offers, the grade into Sweet Home itself is such that makes the 2-6-2 bark so crisply that it sounds like someone is cutting cabbage with a knife. |
