Back in 1976 one could still enjoy the wide variety of motive power that Union Pacific operated. An example is UP 1400, the 10 SDP35 passenger locomotive UP acquired beginning in September 1965. These were kept from Amtrak and converted to freight service as seen here in Seattle at their Argo Yard between runs. Cool loco.
