Bare. Built as a 2 track deck plate girder bridge over Hackensack River in 1914, the New York, Susquehanna, and Western Railway’s span from Hackensack to Bogota, New Jersey has perhaps seen more change in the past few years than in the prior century of its service. Gone is the second track, as well as the wooden supports, replaced with steel. Construction is ongoing in between the trains that cross this bridge, as often as a several times a day. On Monday, February 14, 2022, the NYSW's SU-99 crosses under a strong late day winter sun with NYSW 4066 (ex-Norfolk Southern 2684, SD70M-2), NYS 4060 (ex-Norfolk Southern 2751, SD70M-2) and NYSW 3018 (Southern Railway 3267, SD40-2) powering the train.
