UP SD40N 2043, a non-dynamic brake equipped SD40-2 carbody, was built as Missouri Pacific 3229 in August 1978. It got rebuilt in 2017. Not many of these have gotten to SoCal in recent years, and avoiding tagging was also quite a feat for this unit.
