Following a two day dumping adding to an already heavy winter snow load, ONR decided it was time to clean up the right of way right across the network. Here the flanger is seen biting into the ice and snow shooting it to either side, while the right wing is partially extended and the left is maneuvered in tight. ONR 529 is a “Type A” spreader built by O.F. Jordan way back in 1957 identified by its straight side wings, low front blade, and front operators cab as can be seen here in action heading back north to Englehart.
