The 3024 and 3 other lead the southbound rock train towards Sioux City. The train passes this old elevator at Renner about 5 miles from Sioux Falls. At Sioux Falls the train will meet an empty rock train by the Airport. Unfortunately the BNSF delays would cause this to be the last shot for us, we had to head home. The 3024 is new to the D&I. I had it on my M337 on May 8th on its way out to the D&I at Sioux City from being rebuilt from the old CP 6033.
The D&I is owned by L.G. Everist Inc. out of Sioux Falls. The L.G. Everist has been in business since 1876. Their Dell Rapids operation features an east and west quarry, that can process quartzite concrete aggregates, asphalt aggregates, seal coat, erosion stone, riprap, deco stone, base aggregates, according to their website.
