Remarks & Notes
Meet By The Bridge. Metropolitan Transportation Authority - MTA/New York Transit Museum 9206 (R-33, St. Louis, 1962-63) sits on Track M north of the 207 Street Station on April 8, 2022, after operating non-stop from Grand Central Station to 161 Street-Yankee Stadium while a regular service 1 Train passes with NYCT 1855 (R-62A, Bombardier, 1984-1987) leading. The "dip" in the tracks is intentional and a sign of good engineering - IRT trains go down grade leaving stations and up grade entering, thus saving on braking and improving on acceleration. The Broadway Bridge, spanning the Harlem River, looms large in the background. IRT SMEE Set “Train Of Many Colors” (R-33/R-36WF): N-9586-9587-9011-9010-9207-9206-S
