On Easter Monday, the return traffic from Ticino northbound is always very heavy, the trains are reinforced to maximum capacity and additional relief trains run. This is empty rolling stock train 32421 from Zürich Vorbahnhof to Lugano, in Rynächt near Erstfeld entering the Gotthard Base Tunnel in a few seconds. It is a 9-car-"IC2020" doubledeck push-pull train with leading cab car Bt (2E) 26-94 # 926 and Re 460 # 061 shoving in the rear. This push-pull train is running usually on the IR 75 line between Lucerne-Zürich and Constance, and was replaced there today by S-Bahn trains (commuter rolling stock).
