| A CSX EMD GP40-2/GP40-3 duo roll into the isolated Vaco Junction with the Gauley Trolley local having just swapped empties for loads at WV Manufacturing at nearby Alloy, W.Va. The South Charleston-based local is currently on former Virginian Railway track, operating on Watco's Kanawha River Railroad via trackage rights. The junction name represents the intersection between the former Virginian Railway (VA) and Chesapeake & Ohio (CO). Soon, the mainline local train will roll past the mainline switch and reverse onto the Vaco connector trackage before re-joining the CSX main at Deepwater. |
