| A scene like it could easily have been photographed a few decades earlier. The heavy three-cylinder freight steam locomotive 44 # 546 of the Bavarian Railroad Museum in Nördlingen moves from the coal crane to the turntable to go into the roundhouse. It had previously hauled a freight train weighing about 1600 tons loaded with lumber from Wilburgstetten to Nördlingen (regular freight, but pulled by a steamlocomotive this day). |
