| With wheel slips aplenty due to the heavy rain, Reading & Northern charges across the Marian Ave crossing near Barnesville, PA with a train of 50 empty hoppers in tow. The train was being run as a test to simulate the weight of a 19 car loaded passenger train the engine would pull the following month. Needless to say, the recently rebuilt Northern passed the test with flying colors to the delight of countless rail fans out trackside to witness the event. |
