Sitting in the deadline in Union Pacific's Yermo Yard is UP DDA40X 6920. This engine was built by EMD in November 1969, one hundred years after the driving of the Golden Spike, and being constructed in that anniversary year earned these 8-axle monsters the moniker of "Centennials". (Yermo, California – June 4, 1983)
