You will seldon have the opportunity to have a look into the smokebox of the very first steamlocomotive of Switzerland. Okay, this is a replica of 1947 of the 4-2-0 D 1/3 # 1 "Limmat" of the famous Spanisch-Brötli-Bahn, line Baden - Zürich of the Schweizerische Nordbahn of 1847. The original was built by Maschinenfabrik Karlsruhe of Emil Kessler in Germany, the replica by the SLM and SBB workplace Zürich with use of some parts including the axles and fittings of the locomotive Eb 2/4 # 15 "Speiser" built 1857.
