It is April 16, 1982, the last day of Conrail on the Utica Branch. Eddie Luther, Bob Dowling and Jim Dundon pose on the front of the train while waiting for a westbound Amtrak to pass. Shortly after this, they would pull the train across the old NYC main tracks and into the yard to tie up.
