| Welcome back. CSDX SW1 #1, one of the three SW1's owned by the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago, will turn 70 this month. It's been out of service for quite some time due to electrical problems and other various issues. I was pleasantly surprised to see it handling the morning duties on July 5th, 2022. It's seen shoving into position at the drying fields to begin the dump of 13 cars. Old Glory waving in the background is a reminder of how heavy our hearts are after the tragic 4th of July parade shooting in Highland Park, IL. |
