Mountains In Mill City. The Nevada desert is a combination of sights and elevations, from mountains to canyons. As Amtrak Train 5 (California Zephyr) passed through Mill City, Nevada on March 25, 2022 with Webb Rail's former Northern Pacific Railway Budd built Pullman dome/sleeper 313 (WEBX 801044), former Northern Pacific Railway Budd built dome/coach 549 (WEBX 801045), and former New York Central Railroad Budd built Pullman obs/diner/sleeper "Babbling Brook" (WEBX 800007) holding the markers, it approaches the snow capped peaks just a few miles after its stop in Winnemuca. The train will navigate these elevations for until arriving in Reno about 3 hours later.
