Remarks & Notes
Lancaster and Chester #90 was one of the last two SW900 locomotives to roll off the Electro-Motive Diesel (EMD) assembly line, both built for the South Carolina shortline. She spent sixty years working between her namesake ciities before being sent off the the Kinston & Snow Hill Railroad in North Carolina. On a sunny in May 2005, the L&C crew has coupled onto their train which was left on the mainline overnight and is departing for the AmeriSteel plant on the former Southern Railway line. The old Lancaster Springs Plant was being demolished brick by brick when this shot was made.
