A pair Pickens Railroad GE U18Bs lead the PICK’s Belton job back to Anderson, SC after making a run to Honea Path. They would combine trains with the Anderson job (which made a rare run to Belton) making this an interesting 2X2 train. Here the old UBoats are seen making their westbound trip through Belton, returning to Anderson.
Built in the early 1970s, PICK 9502 and company are part of eight former Seaboard Coast Line GE U18Bs that found themselves on the Pickens in early the 2000s. After the Pickens acquisition of the units, they were given a fresh coat of paint inspired by the CSX MOW scheme from their days on the CSX MOW fleet.
