A Bath & Hammondsport job led by three consecutively numbered C424s (424, 423, 422) passes the M.J. Ward & Son feed dealer in Bath, NY. These units are technically on "home" rails, all having been built for Erie Lackawanna in 1963. The right of way the train is operating over once saw the Erie and Delaware Lackawanna & Western railroads running parallel through town. I believe the tracks closest to the feed dealer actually belonged to the Erie. At the time of this photo, these units were 55 years old and still earning revenue in the territory of their original owner.
From a hint of "Bee" (NKP 765), colorful "Bees" (KCS), "Bees" w/ "attitude", to "Bees" that "sting" your eyes, in their own way they have "Bee" on display! Equipment that "Buzzes" with Yellow & Black colors! ("Bees" can still "Bee" entering this "hive"!)
