Back in Conrail days, the West Virginia Secondary was comparatively humming. So much so, that they installed a siding in Carpenter for helpers to duck into between shoving coal trains up the line. Today, the line is much more quiet, and the siding likely hasn't been used in decades. Weeds are growing along the rails, and the spur seems to be leaning towards Leading Creek...
