| Smoke from fires a 14-hour drive away in California has made it to the northwestern part of Washington State today, leaving a strange color in the air. Everett's Delta Yard is a flat yard and a funnel point for Canadian traffic. The region north of Everett is also home to many EMD geep road switch jobs and was one of the last parts of the system to use cabooses on mainline freights until just after the BNSF merger. |
