I certainly didn't plan it that way, but a neat shot from 11-11-11. The lone survivor of a very short-lived Conrail marketing plan-- Conrail Express. Much as airlines do with their regional partners, this was envisioned as a program of Conrail-branded shortline partners, leveraging the mainline partner's marketing resources to provide a stronger product. It didn't last long, with only two units painted-- Reading & Northern 2795 (which was soon after wrecked and retired) and MDDE 801, which is still in use to this day.
