The Tri-State Scenic, pulled by the 765 between Edon, Ohio and Hillsdale, Michigan featured a three-hour layover in Hillsdale.
The all-day excursion was a treat for railroad fans and passengers alike on an beautiful late summer day.
After the 765 was brought to a stop in front of the former LS&MS/NYC passenger station, this crew member climbed up on the locomotive to check on what appears to be a camera (or perhaps just a microphone) attached to the handrail next to the sand dome.
