| The "machine verses gravity" show is going on in Northern Arkansas here. This loaded coal train off the BNSF is digging in on the final 1.5% grade into Decatur on the KCS Heavener Sub. The train will have tackled 3 big grades since leaving Neosho 40 miles back. These 2 KCS AC's were added to the BNSF DP unit at Pittsburg to assist the train over the numerous heavy grades the train tackles thru the Ozarks Mountains in southern Missouri. The train will climb 200 feet in the next 4 miles. |
