Water World. Leaves are falling from the trees, and that means it is time for MTA Metro-North Railroad's spray train "Water World" to come out on the road. On Thursday, October 27, 2022, BL20GHM MNCW 130 (CTrail) comes around the wye at Mott Haven, Bronx, New York, before heading up the Hudson Line. The 2 tank cars feed water to MNCW 1012, the spray car, which helps keep the tracks clear of leaves. Bombardier Comet II 6131 holds the markers to allow the train to reverse and head back to the White Plaines Yard at speed.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
