Remarks & Notes
So Fresh and So Clean. New York City Transit Authority R10 no. 3189 (ACF, 1948-1949) is seen leading a short train of SMEE equipment down the Brighton Line during the NY Transit Museum's Parade of Trains. "SMEE" stands for Straight Air Motor Car Electric-Pneumatic Emergency, in reference to the braking system equipped on the cars. 3189 was recently restored to operating condition and repainted, and thus was the star of the show in its fresh white and aqua blue paint scheme.
