"Pull the Trucks Out From Under"
Long Island Rail Road Budd M3 #9774 dangles in the air as a telehandler forklift drags its trucks away at Maspeth Yard in Queens, NY. The trucks were cut up on site and the car body placed on a special flatcar.
On the morning of April 24th, 2022, six M3 railcars (9847/9848, 9773/9774 & 9813/9814) were placed onto the Navy Lead in Maspeth Yard (Nicholls Siding) where they were detrucked and loaded onto flatcars by Frontier Industrial Corp for transport to Ohio for scrap.
