Two newly-acquired SD40-3s are at work in Candor, North Carolina on the Aberdeen, Carolina & Western Railway in late 2010. ACWR 6918 was built for the Canadian National Railway as CN SD40 5206 in 1971. That railroad later upgraded her to SD40-3 specs and renumbered her CN 6918. She was later sold to Alstom Canada, a leasing company, and later to the North Carolina shortline. Soon after this photograph was made, she was painted into ACWT's classy corporate paint scheme.
