Rise and shine 611. Just moments after sunrise, Norfolk & Western J-Class Northern #611 makes a spirited charge across the Amish Farmland along Pennsylvania's Strasburg Rail Road, hauling a matched, 5-car passenger consist. The classic streamliner, owned and operated by the Virginia Museum of Transportation, was visiting one of the nation's most popular tourist railroads and participating in a November, 2022 photo shoot. This image was captured in the Fairview section of the line, on the grounds of Verdant View Farm, with the kind permission of the owners.
