Passing a slower CN freight (no. 305) at track speed, VIA Rail's new Siemens Venture train set is kicking up a sizeable amount of snow in the curve at Beaconsfield. Cab car 2301 is front, no. 2202 is pushing at the rear end. Cab car operation is a first for VIA, and the new train is still undergoing testing, running only on a once-per-week schedule between Montreal and Ottawa.
