Remarks & Notes

BN 6254 is seen at BN's Harrison St. roundhouse in July 1973. This unit came to BN as CB&Q 514, built in May 1959. the unit was retired in July 1982. BN had perhaps the largest roster of SD7/SD9/SD24s in the US. These locos came from CB&Q & GN. Some SD9s made it into the BNSF era. SD24s likely had a shorter life due to their turbocharged engines.
