Remarks & Notes
C&NW branded its 1970s-80s intermodal service as Falcon Service and created a logo featuring a predatory falcon bird and this sign which decorated the yard office at the Henry to Wood St. Yard, Chicago. They also applied this graphic to a pair of new SD40-2s and a large order of intermodal trailers. Falcon Service serviced into the last few years of C&NW's existence, and intermodal growth continued with the advent of double stack trains and the merger into UP.
