Led by CNW 6831, 2nd 245 gets out of Wood St. Yard and crosses over to another track to clear the path for a southbound transfer. A short trip up this line reaches the east-west mainline near the former 40th St. Yard just west of Western Avenue. From that point on its clear sailing west into the eventual sunset, with delivery to UP about midnight at Fremont. The train will run through to North Platte, where UP will mix with other connections to create a run to Denver, another to San Francisco and one more to Portland & Seattle.
