The center of attention in Rockhill Furnace. In the tiny borough of Rockhill Furnace, PA, there's not much to do on a lazy afternoon except wander down to the East Broad Top depot and watch trains. Here, a young couple out for a drive in their sporty Plymouth DeLuxe pause to watch the arrival of a southbound freight as a few passengers wait for a northbound, which will take them up to Mt. Union and a connection with the Pennsylvania Railroad.
This image was captured during an April, 2023 photo shoot on the East Broad Top Railroad, which featured the newly-restored Locomotive #16, seen here. The re-enactors in this scene are all members of a World War II re-enactment group.
