Remarks & Notes
Not only is TAG 80 one of the best looking diesels at TVRM, it also has a unique history. The locomotive was one of the first GP38s ever built and served as a demonstrator for EMD before going to the Tennessee Alabama and Georgia who named it after John Chambliss. The locomotive was later folded into the Southern, and then NS rosters before going to TVRM. Here the locomotive is seen taking the Missionary Ridge Local around the wye at Grand Junction with engineer Joseph Randall at the throttle.
