The Rhaetian Railway had actually decided to use the two still operational locomotives of the Ge 4/4 I series, # 603 (built in 1947) and # 605 (built in 1953), only for the nostalgia trains Zügenschlucht (Davos-Filisur) or other special trains, since the two Ge 6/6 I "Crocodiles" are out of service for a longer period of time. But with the current shortage of traction units, the locomotives are needed again for freight service. Thus, the 70 year old Ge 4/4 I # 605 "Silvretta" pulls freight train 5742 from Ilanz to Landquart freight yard through the impressive gorge of the Vorderrhein, called Ruinaulta, between Versam-Safien and Trin. The train has 4 sliding doors cars and 2 container cars with two swapbodies each, all loaded with Valser mineral water to the distribution center Untervaz.
