| The "Traverso" RABe 526 # 203/103 of the Südostbahn (SOB) is crossing the Staldvedro viaduct between Airolo and Ambri-Piotta on the Gotthard mountain line, running as "TRENO GOTTARDO" IR 2315 of the line iR26 from Basel via Lucerne-Arth Goldau-Erstfeld-Göschenen-Airolo-Biasca-Bellinzona to Locarno. The A2 freeway, visible in the background, will be covered in the next few years with excavated material from the construction of the second Gotthard tunnel tube. |
