Passing through the S-curve at Fullerton Junction just before 19:00 (7:00 pm), BNSF ES44C4 6727 and Dash 9-44CW 1006 move their train, Q-MEMLAC6-08A (Guaranteed Service Intermodal; Memphis TN to Los Angeles CA), westward into the setting sun. There may be a delay before arriving in LA's Hobart Yard, as there is a 2-alarm fire (burning railroad ties) along the mainline a few miles ahead, which is already causing delays to various Metrolink trains and Amtrak 4, the eastbound Southwest Chief.
