Remarks & Notes
Cogwheel railcars Bhe 2/2 # 48 and # 47 of the Pilatus Bahnen in multiple control are running up through the Eselwand (donkey wall) on a grade of 48.0 % as train CC 21 from Alpnachstad to Pilatus Kulm. The world's steepest cogwheel railway with the unique Locher system got 8 new railcars from StadlerRail and Calag, which replaced the railcars from 1937 when the line was electrified. On a summer day with large demand every 35 minutes there are 4 railcars running, in two pairs on sight distance.
